Kenya Airways recently announced an increase in cargo capacity by doubling its freight frequencies to seven destinations within Africa. “Our cargo unit, KQ Cargo, will now operate the Boeing 737-300F freighter two times weekly to Harare, Lusaka, Entebbe, Dar es Salaam, Juba, Bangui, and Lubumbashi,” the airline stated.
KQ said this move comes after the increasing demand for air cargo services from traders and business entities across the region. This boost in freight frequencies is in line with our commitment to enhance air cargo capacity to ensure that the network is optimally served, especially in the African markets.
“As a leading African airline, Kenya Airways has been actively working to enhance connectivity between African countries, thereby promoting economic growth and development across the continent. With the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) set to boost intra-African trade, our commitment to expanding our network of destinations within Africa will help facilitate trade and investment opportunities for African businesses,” the airline noted.
