Rwanda has announced that the Rwandan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Vincent Biruta, and Director General of the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA), Mr. Mohamed Moussa, have recently signed a Host Country Agreement between the Government of Rwanda and ASECNA.
Rwanda is one of the 19 Member States of ASECNA, and the Ministry said the involvement of Rwanda in ASECNA will enhance air navigation in Africa.
“In line with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, Rwanda’s membership to this Africa-wide organisation will aim to promote a liberalized and secure air navigation throughout the continent,” the Ministry stated.

It listed ASECNA’s 19 member states as “Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros, Congo, Ivory Coast, France, Gabon, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal, Chad, Togo and Rwanda.”
